WITMEM won another award, and the WTM series chip sequence was released for the first time
On August 27, the two-day GTIC 2022 Global AI Chip Summit was successfully concluded in Shenzhen. The conference announced the 2022 "Top 50 Chinese AI Chip Enterprises", and WITMEM added another award.

The principle of in-memory computing technology is based on Ohm's law, and the efficiency of matrix multiplication is increased by 50-100 times. Compared with CPU (generally 10-100 computing cores) and GPU (generally 10,000-level computing cores), it can achieve higher density, higher parallelism, higher energy efficiency, and greater computing power (generally equivalent computing on the order of millions). core). With the rapid growth of computing power demand, compared with the traditional Von Neumann architecture, the computing-in-memory has obvious energy efficiency and cost advantages. However, when more scenarios need to be met in the future, the advantages of computing-in-memory in versatility, tool chain, and accuracy need to be filled.

The WTM2101 chip is the second commercial in-memory computing product of WITMEM, which was launched to the market in March this year. As the world's first commercial in-memory computing SoC chip, the AI computing power of the WTM2101 chip reaches 50Gops, and the power consumption is only 5uA-3mA (the latest power consumption data). It is suitable for terminal-side intelligent IoT scenarios, such as wearable devices, audio devices, mobile devices, smart home, etc. It has not been half a year since it entered the market, and products covering smart wearables, wireless headphones and other wearable devices have completed product development based on the WTM2101 chip, and some products have begun mass production, with an estimated annual sales volume of one million.
Based on the R&D experience and commercial first-mover advantage accumulated by two generations of computing-in-memory products, Wang Shaodi also announced the layout and planning of WITMEM's in-memory computing products and in-memory computing ecology for the first time in his speech. In the next 5 years, WITMEM will release higher computing power chip series WTM8 series, WTM-C series, WTM-S series. Among them, the WTM8 series covers 2D (1080P-8K) and 3D video processing scenarios and is expected to be released next year; the WTM-C series is a series of edge computing computing products and is expected to be released one after another before 2025.

At the same time, WITMEM will continue to build a bridge from the existing algorithm system to in-memory computing, promote architectural innovation and tool chain iteration, continue to promote the progress of the underlying technology, embrace the Chiplet ecology, connect more advantageous resources in the industry, and promote high-quality in-memory Computational ecological construction.
